The Prophets of Allah: Instillers of Tawheed| Islamically Integrated Unit
Say, [O believers], "We have believed in Allah and what has been revealed to us and what has been revealed to Ibrahim and Isma'eel and Ishaaq and Yaqub and the Descendants [al-Asbāṭ](the 12 sons of Yaqub) and what was given to Musa and Isa and what was given to the Prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and we are Muslims [in submission] to Him." [Surah al-Baqarah2:136]

Based on renowned Islamic historian, Ibn Kathir’s respected work, Al Bidaya Wan Nihaya, (The Beginning to the End), in this unit, we take you through a historical and geographical journey of the 25 Prophets of Allah mentioned in the Qur’an.
We take you through a unique look at their lives as we discover:
The people they were sent to
The geographical areas they lived in
The places they travelled to
We take a closer look at:
The geographical landscape
The political landscape
Map work and understanding the blessed area of ash-Sham and the greater Middle East better.
In discussing these, there will be mini research activities along the way which will include topics such as:
The Children of Isra’eel
Phoenicians
Country and city studies including Yemen, Syria, Palestine, Saudi Arabia, Jerusalem, Damascus and others
Over 20 pages on the Seerah of our Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him.
All of this is to draw our children closer to the stories of the Prophets and to the Prophets themselves. Making their stories clearer and more meaningful and relatable.
It’s important that our children are taught to look at different aspects of a topic, to immerse themselves in it and inshaAllah gain a greater understanding and awareness.
This unit is designed to be carried out over a 3 month period. You will have all you need to set up a beautiful and engaging unit study inshaAllah.
We hope that by integrating Islam with our children's worldly knowledge, that these units increase our children's love and understanding of Allah and the deen of Islam inshaAllah.
This unit is best suited for primary aged children.
