Nurturing your child’s faith through their academic studies, our Islamically Integrated Language Arts Level One Unit provides a comprehensive approach to language skills. Designed for Muslim children aged 6 to 10, this unit focuses on developing effective communication, comprehension, and self-expression.
Here are the key areas covered:
Writing Skills: Children learn to write simple sentences and short paragraphs with correct grammar, punctuation, and capitalisation. Children then move onto descriptive paragraphs and eventually narrative stories. The emphasis is on clear and organised writing, as well as expressing thoughts and ideas coherently.
Grammar and Language Structure: Basic grammar concepts such as nouns, verbs, adjectives, and sentence structure are recapped. This is explored more in depth in our Language Arts: Level One: Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling unit.
Vocabulary Development: Students expand their vocabulary by learning new words and their meanings through reading and context. They also develop the ability to use appropriate words in speaking and writing.
The unit reinforces basic Islamic concepts and knowledge. Whether your child is in grades 1, 2, or 3, this unit provides a faith-based approach to language arts education.
