islamically integrated unit planning

Getting organised is one of the best ways to ensure that you will have successful and meaningful lessons. Understanding what you want to achieve and having a plan in place also helps relieve some of the anxiety we may feel as educators.

As Muslims, it’s important that our lessons incorporate Islamic elements where possible because the ultimate goal of education is to ensure that we are strengthening our faith. Education that has the opposite effect is futile and won’t help them in this life, nor the next.

Our Islamically Integrated Unit Planning guide, is here to help you get yourself sorted out by outlining your:

  • Islamic Focus

  • Academic Focus

  • Hadith, Ayat and Allah’s Names and Attibutes to add

  • Moral lessons to include in the topic

  • Noteable persons

For those who use our Islamically integrated units, much of this is already done for you. The guide will still help you with any additions such as excursions to plan, books to read, videos to watch and any extra activities you might like to add.

To help you out, I’ve included a completed version for our Earthquakes topic and unit.

This guide can be used with or without our unit studies.
